Become a Volunteer

“WWOOF” is short for Willing Workers On Organic Farms – an international network of volunteers who want to work in ecological communities for a period. You can become a wwoofer at The Self-Sustaining Village for up to a week with possibility for extension.

As a wwoofer you work 30 hours a week (5-6 hours per day) for food and lodging. The work can be in the kitchen, agriculture or private construction, depending on where there is a need. Your contact person coordinates the work and ensures that you are instructed.

As a wwoofer you get insight into the village’s daily life and participate in common meals. We welcome wwooffers all year round, but spring and autumn are peak season, when we need a lot of help with the vegetables.
